Christmas Post Deadline

7 Nov

It happens to the best of us – no matter how far in advance we try to plan Christmas, there is almost one last minute present to buy!

Below are the recommended last posting days for Christmas published by the Royal Mail.  However, these are only recommendations and I would suggest placing any last minute orders as early as possible to help to ensure your package arrives on time.  Another thing to note is that there are many external factors which can delay your mail – especially international deliveries – such as bad weather or customs.  If you place an order before these timescales, I still cannot guarantee that your package will arrive on time, but I will ensure that it is posted as soon as possible.

If you have a special present to send which absolutely must arrive on time, I suggest you get in touch with me before placing your order and I can look at alternative delivery options – but please note that these will most likely incur additional costs.

Christmas is a special time of year for most people, and I know how important it is to get those presents delivered on time.  All of my items are beautifully presented in good quality tissue paper or organza pouches, but if you would like your purchase to be posted directly to the recipient as a gift, just give me a note of the name, address and any personal message you would like included.

Last Posting Dates for Christmas 2012

Asia, Australia, Far East (including Japan), New Zealand – Wednesday 5 December

Eastern Europe, USA & Canada – Monday 10 December

Western Europe – Wednesday 12 December

UK – Thursday 20 December

So don’t delay any further – go get that shopping done!

My Holiday Wish List

17 Oct

Shopping on Etsy is dangerous…I’ve been hunting around looking for goodies to buy for Christmas presents, but keep getting distracted by all of the handmade delights to be had…

I thought I would take a break from shopping for others and share a selection of my favourites 🙂

Silver Twig Ring by Michael Lionel

As always, I instantly fall in love with anything related to nature and especially trees.

Yarn Bowl by Red Hot Pottery

Anything to keep my wool under control would be a wonderful addition to my living room – and it’s my favourite colour!

Manos Del Uruguay Wool by Chirpbyroz

I have a cupboard full of wool at the moment so I’m not allowed to buy any more but I just love the rich tones featured in this skein!

The Holidays are Coming!

19 Sep

Ok, so it’s only September but that’s only about three more pay days until Christmas – so it’s time to start shopping!

Ever since I started selling on Etsy I have beeing trying to focus on buying one of a kind and/or handmade gifts for my family whenever possible because it feels that bit more special.  However, this means that I need to be organised because many handmade items are made to order and although Etsy is an international selling community, the majority of its sellers are from the US meaning posting times are much longer as well.

One of my latest creations – perfect for keeping warm whilst doing your Christmas shopping!

I’ve been stocking up my shop all summer whilst things have been quiet in the hope that the run up to Christmas will bring me more sales.  In order to try to encourage people to be as organised as I am (or at least trying to be!) I have decided to offer free postage to my UK customers between now and the end of October.  This is a great way for people to save a bit of money during this expensive time of the year and get those first pressies bought before the mad rush begins.

If you are in the UK and would like to take advantage of this offer – simply visit my Etsy Shop and use Coupon Code “FREEPOST12” at checkout (without the quotation marks) and you will not have to pay any postage costs!

Remember – you have until 31 October to take advantage of this fab offer!
